Prime Care Re-Opening Safety Protocols

Prime Care Family Practice is pleased to begin in-person patient visits beginning May 26th, 2020. Before your appointment please familiarize yourself with our new safety protocols.

Visitation Policy

Only one support person may accompany the patient to their visit.  You should attend appointments alone unless a support person is essential to your treatment or care, such as:

  • If you have physical mobility issues or speech/comprehension complications
  • If the patient is a minor

Screening

Everyone, including employees, who comes into our office will be screened for fever, cough, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, cold-like symptoms, and shortness of breath.  Patients and visitors will also be asked a series of screening questions.

Masks

All patients aged 2 years or older, visitors, and staff are required to wear masks while in our office. To help conserve our limited supply of masks, we encourage you to bring a mask from home to wear.

Social Distancing

We will continue following social distancing guidelines. To support this effort, you will be asked to remain in your car and call the office to notify staff of your arrival.  This eliminates lobby wait time.

Enhanced Cleaning

We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, especially in high-contact surface areas such as lobbies, restrooms, and patient exam rooms.  Hand sanitizer has also been placed at the entrance and in every exam room.

Telemedicine

We will continue telemedicine appointments. This allows you to video chat with your medical provider over your smartphone, tablet, or computer from the comfort and safety of your home.   call your primary care office to have one of our team members walk you through the process.
